Do you like to work with your hands while working in a technology driven field? If so, becoming a Diesel Technician could be a lucrative career decision. Skilled blue collar jobs are in extremely high demand across the United States. While the American economy has shifted to services, we still are one of the world’s leading manufacturing and resource-extracting nations, and there are simply not enough people doing these jobs.
Join McCoy Freightliner and 400 people at Portland Community College’s (PCC) 10th Annual Diesel Days and learn more about this unique career. the event will include hands on activities, talks and demonstrations designed to acquaint high school students, and those interested in the diesel industry and PCC’s Diesel Technology Program.
Information will be shared about trouble shooting of hydraulic systems, air conditioning and electrical components, anti-locking braking systems and diesel engine diagnostics. Presentations will be given by local diesel employers including McCoy Freightliner. We will also be bringing in some brand new 2019 Freightliner’s to check out!
