Why Retrofit?

Nationwide availability of ultra low sulfur fuel makes it possible to significantly reduce diesel emissions by retrofitting existing vehicles to meet new regulatory standards. The same Diesel technologies being used in new vehicles can be applied to an existing fleet, reducing emissions by up to 90%.

Cost-effective, high efficiency solutions for tailpipe and crankcase emissions control are now available without compromising performance or fuel efficiency.

Regulations in California and Washington are already in place and more stringent state and federal emissions regulations are on the way. The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has mandated that diesel emissions for on-road (in-use) vehicles be reduced by 85%. McCoy Freightliner provides emissions solutions that are verified by both the CARB and the EPA.

In Oregon, tax credits are available that can pay for up to 35% of retrofitting costs. Our expert staff will guide you through the compliance process every step of the way including testing, installation, compliance, maintenance, and applying for federal and state grants and tax programs.
